Classic cars to car enthusiasts are like vinyl to music lovers. They’re the icons we dream of owning, and the collector’s items cherished and preserved by their owners.
Just like vinyl, classic car sales are on the rise – which is great news for the classic car shows that are getting more and more participants wanting to show off their prized possessions and meet like-minded people.
That’s why 2020 will be a great year for classic car shows. So here’s our pick of 10 of the best classic car shows and events you can visit in 2020.
The Classic Car and Restoration Show is the first of two classic car shows at the Birmingham NEC on this list, but this one has an emphasis on restoration.
Visitors will be treated to a collection of over 1000 stunning classic cars, from remarkable barn finds to iconic classics kept in, or restored to, tip-top working condition.
Additionally, those who register for the Classic Car Auctions sale at the event will have the opportunity to drive home in their dream classic car, rounding off a fantastic weekend.

The Vintage Sports Car Club (VSCC) will be returning to Silverstone this April for the inaugural round of the Formula Vintage racing competition.
Formerly known as “VSCC Spring Start”, this 2 day meeting invites visitors to watch on as pre-1961 and pre-war sports cars battle it out in a series of exhilarating challenges on the world famous Silverstone race track.
In addition to the thrills of the track, spectators are given free access to the Paddock to get up-close and personal to the cars on display.

Those fascinated by motoring history will love the range of classic car events on throughout May to September at the British Motor Museum this year. Celebrated in these extremely rare transport exhibitions, are motors ranging from retro trucks and old Ford Rally's to classic Land Rover's and old school MINI's.
Your ticket will also gain you entry to the recently refurbished British Motor Museum which is home to most important vehicles in motoring history.

Not to be confused with the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run - the world’s longest running motoring event – this London to Brighton Classic Car Run accepts entries from all classic cars over 25 years old.
This year, owners of vintage and classic cars will turn out in force to take the scenic route from the Brooklands Museum in London, all the way to the finishing line near the iconic Brighton Pier (with entry to select stopping points en route).
Stay to the end of the day in Brighton for the special awards ceremony for categories such as “longest distance travelled” and “best period dressed participants”.

Head down to one of the world’s best racing venues and feast your eyes on over 10,000 classic cars during what will be a jam-packed weekend at Silverstone.
This really is one for the whole family to enjoy, with tons of activities and entertainment on offer such as live music from headline acts, air displays, a vintage fun fair, and a shopping village - all included in the ticket price.

The name is befitting of such a venue as Hampton Court Palace, as are the classic cars on show at this year’s Concours of Elegance.
Visitors to this year’s show will once again bear witness to a selection of 60 of the world’s rarest classic cars. They will be brought together by the major historic car collectors, who will be competing for the prestigious “Best of show” award.
A handful of the world’s most famous premium car brands including Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari, and Jaguar will also be in attendance – showcasing some of the rarest and most iconic models from each brand’s history.

The Goodwood Festival of Speed is one of the biggest and best car shows on the calendar. But did you know that Goodwood also hold an additional festival each September, celebrating the classic cars from the venue’s golden period between 1948 and 1966?

This November, classic car fans will flock from all around the country to experience the UK’s biggest classic car show, which returns to the Birmingham NEC for 2019.
If previous years are anything to go by, The NEC Classic Motor Show will be a weekend packed with features including the mouth-watering classic car and motorbike collections from over 250 Classic Car Clubs.
